MEET OUR STAFF:
Penny Rahn
Penny is our medical assistant who helps Dr. Lowenstein with back office patient care. She will assist you by taking your history and vital signs prior to your visit with Dr. Lowenstein. Penny also assists in drawing blood in our laboratory. She joined the Arthritis center is March of 2002 with 7 years experience in medical assisting.
Anne Murdoch
Anne joined The Arthritis Center in 2008. She has an extensive background in medical billing and insurance. She can assist you with any billing questions regarding your account. Please make sure that your insurance information is kept up to date. This will avoid any problems with your insurance company processing your claims correctly. Susan Dunlop
Susan joined the staff at the Arthritis Center in March of 2005 as our front desk receptionist. She brings to us experience in project coordination and management. Susan coordinates information for new patients, conveys telephone message, confirms future appointments and will assist you with all your scheduling needs. Susan will greet you and assist you at Check-In when you visit the Arthritis Center. We look forward to caring for you soon.
Michelle Nappi, LPN
Michelle joined our team at the Arthritis Center in January 2006. She works as our office/medical assistant and performs such duties as scheduling appointments, taking phone messages, verifying insurance benefits and assisting the physicians in back office and patient care procedures. Michelle received her Practical Nursing License and IV certification in February 2009 and is continuing her education towards her RN degree. On her free time she enjoys cooking Italian Food.
Ezequiel Kogan, BS
Ezequiel joined The Arthritis Center in February 2003. He came from Buenos Aires, Argentina in April 2002, with his wife and two daughters.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of Buenos Aires. He joined the office as a financial administrator.
Prior business experience includes 12 years of financial management with building construction companies.
Heather Huddleson, CMA
Heather is originally from Sarasota, FL. She joined our practice at the Arthritis Center in August of 2008. Heather graduated from Keiser Career College with her certification in Medical Assisting. She works in our office as Dr. Zagar’s certified Medical Assistant. She assists the doctor with rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, ultrasounds, injections, and lab draws. She can also assist you with obtaining medical records and your refill requests.
